Welcome to the Next Generation Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) Test Bed Website. The NextGen CNS Test Bed was established by Sensis Corporation through a cooperative agreement with NASA Glenn Research Center, with the support and partnership of a number of federal and local government agencies and leading aviation organizations. The primary objective of the Test Bed is to identify and evaluate CNS solutions for the advancement of the National Airspace System (NAS). As air travel is projected to grow - doubling or tripling over the next 20 years - the current NAS must change substantially in order to safely accommodate such demand. The NextGen CNS Test Bed consists of the Demonstration and Analysis Center located at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio and three Cleveland area airports, which represent international, commercial, regional business jet and general aviation airports.
